SD fails with "The wait operation timed out" result

Greetings all,

I am attempting to distribute two software packages, Office 2007, and Visio 2007.  My packages are built correctly (had our LD TAM  verify everything was correct), and they start to deploy fine.  I came in this morning, and out of four machines (3 O2K7, 1 Visio), three have failed with the result "The wait operation timed out."  I checked the logs, and this is what I see.

Vor the Visio deploy, the last line of the core server log is:

Downloading file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\Proofing.en-us\Proof.es\Proof.cab (rQfdtOHkO4XnDsMn8Amlkg==, 5)
Thu, 13 Nov 2008 20:23:16 Downloading file 186 of 215 from '\\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\Proofing.en-us\Proof.es\Proof.cab'
Thu, 13 Nov 2008 20:23:16 The file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\Proofing.en-us\Proof.es\Proof.cab (5 levels) was not in the TMC cache.
Thu, 13 Nov 2008 20:23:16 The file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\Proofing.en-us\Proof.es\Proof.cab (5 levels) was not in the TMC cache.
Thu, 13 Nov 2008 20:23:16 Downloading file to C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\Office2007\Visio\Proofing.en-us\Proof.es\Proof.cab, attempt 0

Yet, when I go to that machine, the SD icon is still in the task bar, and says it is on file 213 of 215.  The machine log shows:

Downloading file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\VisStd.WW\VisStdWW.cab (PySXmQcx90/zlm9zSEu5PQ==, 4)
Fri, 14 Nov 2008 02:47:38 Downloading file 213 of 215 from '\\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\VisStd.WW\VisStdWW.cab'
Fri, 14 Nov 2008 02:47:38 The file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\VisStd.WW\VisStdWW.cab (4 levels) was not in the TMC cache.
Fri, 14 Nov 2008 02:47:38 The file \\usstlsvr114\Office2007\Visio\VisStd.WW\VisStdWW.cab (4 levels) was not in the TMC cache.
Fri, 14 Nov 2008 02:47:38 Downloading file to C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\Office2007\Visio\VisStd.WW\VisStdWW.cab, attempt 0

The file is only 85.2 MB, and should not take over 5 hours to download, since this machine is on the same LAN as the host server (I set no bandwidth limitations in the delivery method).

For one of the Office distributions, the core server log ends with file 196 of 250, but the user says his display shows 225 of 250.  Again, this machine is on the same LAN, and copying 760 MB of files to this machine should not take all night.

The other two distributions are to machines in our Mexico facility.  I did set bandwidth options in their delivery, with a 2ms delay in downloads from the source.  One has failed at file 52 of 250 (machine reports: Fri, 14 Nov 2008 06:49:51 Downloading file 224 of 250, which could indicate the machine is still downloading this file, 225 MB, but why the failed status), and the other is still active.

Any thoughts on why the error is being reported, and ways I can fix this so I can distribute this software effectively (I will have 300 machines in Mexico to distribute O2K7 to, and they connect to us in St. Louis over a T1) would be appreciated.

System Info: Core 8.8 SP2, clients updated accordingly.  Software resides on a separate server.  STL test machines are running minimum 100 MB connection.  Mexico running T1 tunnel to STL, ping times between 100 and 125 ms, which is normal.
